Why built-ins beat freestanding furniture
In a Queens or NYC apartment, a freestanding bookcase or TV stand leaves dead space above it and gaps at the sides. A built-in wall unit runs from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, so it holds more and looks like part of the house. Lauro plans it around your TV size, the outlets, the window trim and anything else on that wall.
Custom built-ins can mix closed storage below with open shelves above, a desk in the middle or a lit niche for the TV. He works in oak, walnut, cherry and maple, in painted MDF or in wood veneer, and builds each section in his Glendale shop so the install in your home is clean and quick.

Can you build around my TV and speakers?
Yes. Lauro measures the TV, the speakers and the outlets during the free visit and draws the unit around them before anything is built.
Can a built-in include lighting?
Yes. His TV walls and wall units include LED lighting in shelves, niches and display cabinets, like the oak TV wall shown here.
What wood can I choose?
Solid oak, maple, cherry or walnut, plywood, painted MDF, melamine and laminate, or wood veneer.
Do you build home office desks?
Yes. He builds desks into wall units, often between two bookcases, so the office uses the whole wall.
